Hazbin Hotel Series

Hazbin Hotel is a fantastic animated series! Vivienne Medrano a.k.a. VivziePop created these original characters and a pilot cartoon, posted it to YouTube, and got popular enough for Prime Video to want to produce the show. Her story is very inspiring because it shows you can be successful when you follow your original ideas.

The animation style, the music, and the story are so unique and distinct! I quickly became a fan of this show and was inspired to draw the characters in my own style.

Since this show is filled with colorful, fun character designs, I had to push myself to try different tools, brushes, and techniques to execute these illustrations. This whole process pushed me to take my time with the early sketches, don’t be afraid to use color, try new brushes, and use layering techniques to think through the design.

I had a lot of fun creating these and plan to make more illustrations from the Hellaverse!
