Mi Familia Series

This series started as a way to feel connected to my family during the pandemic. Once we hit the one-month mark of quarantine, I realized that it was the longest time I’ve spent away from my family in a while. Since we weren’t allowed to see each other in person (yet), I decided to start drawing my favorite picture of each family member as a way to feel somewhat closer to them.

The process of this series was very beautiful. I noticed features in my family members’ faces that I had never seen before, which I feel helped me grow to appreciate and love them in new ways.
