Mi Familia Series

This series started as a way to feel connected to my family during the pandemic. Once we hit one month mark of quarantine, I realized that it was the longest time I’ve spent away from my family in a while. Since we weren’t allowed to physically see each other (yet), I decided to start draw my favorite picture each family member as a way to feel somewhat closer to them.

The process of this series was very beautiful. I was noticing different features about my family member’s faces that I’ve never noticed before, which I feel helped me to grow appreciation and love for all of them in a new ways.
